Cornwall Council has agreed to implement a one-way driving restriction and an associated prohibition of right-turn at Antony C.E.V.A. Junior and Infant School, Antony. The restrictions will be implemented as an Experimental Traffic Regulation Order (ETRO) so that the effects can be monitored prior to deciding if they should be made permanent. You will be able to submit comments in response to these measures for a period of 6 months from 15th November 2023. It will not be possible to lodge a formal response until this time. Responses must arrive no later than Friday 17th May 2024.
This scheme was nominated by the Parish Council in relation to concerns around congestion and the safety of vulnerable road users. It was then reviewed and approved by the Community Network Panel and signed off by Cornwall Council's Highway Asset Manger.
It is anticipated that the use of this Order will:
(a) avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or prevent the likelihood of any such danger arising;
(b) facilitate the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians);
