Consultation Summary

Cormac Solutions, on behalf of Cornwall Council, have undertaken a safety review of Crafthole village.

Background:

The main issue within Crafthole is the lack of visibility through the narrow section, between the mini roundabout and the priority give way at the eastern end of the village.  A number of improvements have been proposed through the village including,
  •   Removal of a pair of speed cushions on the B3247 next to The Anvil
  •  Installing two sets of double yellow lines on B3247 between the mini roundabout and the Finnygook Inn.
  •   Expanding the existing parking bay opposite the Finnygook Inn into the verge to allow for parking of 8 vehicles.
  •   Installation of a new concrete kerb alignment around the junction between Finnygook Lane & B3247 with dropped kerbs to retain the pedestrian crossing point.
  •   Formalising the existing parking area on Finnygook Lane near Burns View with a tarmac parking bay and removal of the single yellow line on the outside of the bay.
